Plaid dark bamboo has a toasted caramel color. The plaid pattern begs the viewer to look from above, but also to view from a lower eye level the end grain, of which the top and bottom layer are intersected by the edge grain of the middle section. The top of the base brings motion to the photo inside, conveying action to the eye. Bamboo is the fastest growing plant on land, making it a very green, earth friendly material. We separate bamboo from the rest of the wood family, only because it is technically classified as a grass.
